Hi all

What a great conference!

Politics:

I meet a few people there that are from FL but did not know about the FL
chapter site, so there are probably others also who do not know about
it. Please put out the word that there is a FL chapter site.

With the great response from the blitz on capital hill it is important
to now follow up and build momentum. Our state representatives should
come to know us on a first name basis.

To this end, who can volunteer to meet with at least one representative
ever other month? Having gotten off to a great start it is important
that we not allow ourselves to be forgotten.

Public education:

We should start working with schools to educate kids about space and
mars in particular. Possible some one is already doing this in FL?

As this is a bit out of my area, I am hoping there are some teachers in
the FL group? that might organize this and train others?

Also, we can use the DVDs from the conference for outreach. As such we
should look at what we have between us. I have the following DVDs:

"A New World - Is It Worth The Risk" -- the panel discussion on risk.
"The case for the exploration and settlement of Mars" -- Robert Zubrin
"The future of space exploration technologies" -- Elon Musk (SpaceX)
"The law and political implications of space travel part 1" -- track
"Effective political outreach in space exploration" -- P.A.T.F.
"Mars Ventriem" -- no label, forgot what is on it.
"What's new with the National Space Society" -- George Whitesides

Well, that's long enough for now.

Make it a great day.
